Ever since I was young I’ve been drumming up any business idea that would inspire me. When I was 5 years old I’d have a weekly idea of how we could run a business from our basement, one week a restaurant, the next week a library, and forever evolving. Needless to say, a 5 year old in a damp basement wasn’t going to get to many customers through the door to share her love of unicorn and fairy tales. 

But the entrepreneur within me lived on. And as I aged the fantasmical (I know it’s not a real word, but it should be) world around me rapidly dissipated, I tried my dab hand at real business ideas. None of them made it past the ‘idea’ phase until Abode & Co was born. This one I ran with, this one felt right.

Abode & Co is an accumulation of my passions, my hobbies, my interests and my bordering on unhealthy shopping addiction. I love interior design, I’ve refurbed a couple of houses and all of the stage shots on my website were taken by my father within those houses, they were art directed by my mother (she deserves the credit too). I love organisation, it keeps my busy mind sane. And beyond all I appreciate how our surroundings can affect our mental health. Mental and gut health has played a large role in my life and I’ve found that creating a space where I feel comfortable, inspired and organised has helped me through the challenges. Not to mention the importance of clean and sustainable living.
